Where can you get upper secondary education and training?



The main rule is that you should apply for upper secondary education and training in the county in which you live, alternatively in one of the neighbouring counties with which your county has a special agreement. There are local rules as to where you can apply within your county, as to whether you may specify a preferred school, etc.

Overview of the schools 

Most people who take upper secondary education and training take one or more years in school as a pupil. There are both public and independent upper secondary schools. You have to apply for a place in upper secondary education and training.   

On the overview of counties you will find an overview of all the schools in  the county. 

On the pages about the education programmes you can find an overview of which schools offer the different programme areas. The options offered by the schools is decided in January each year (for the next school year). Remember to scroll down to your county in the list at the top of the vilbli.no page!
