Alternative training options in your county



Most county authorities offer alternative training options in connection with the regular education programmes and programme areas. This may take the form of specially adapted  training for those in need of it, or special options for those who have dropped out of upper secondary education and training.

Alternative training options may for example be

  • options that combine education at school with placements at training establishments (such as for example a training practice certificate)
  • options that emphasize work and life skills training in various education programmes
  • options of a preparatory year or an introductory year that combines several education programmes
